An event every week that begins at 6:00pm on Wednesday, repeating until January 30, 2019


Breathe. Meditate. Move. Create. Eat.

These are all aspects of mindful living YOU can weave into the every day to find presence and reap the well-known benefits of mindfulness practice!

Join us for a 4-week mindfulness group to learn tools to access powerful inner resources and cultivate being fully present in your life. Curious to learn more about the group and benefits of mindfulness? Read on ::

  • Group is based on scientific research validating the efficacy of mindfulness in decreasing the relapse of depression and anxiety, and increasing wellbeing.
  • Goal is to support you in developing a solid meditation practice and learn how to manage stress, quiet your mind, calm your body, and increase your enjoyment of life.
  • Support as you explore the meaning, method, and benefits of mindfulness meditation.
  • Learn a variety of meditation techniques including sitting, walking, body-scan, and loving-kindness meditation.
  • Change your relationship to thoughts and feelings.
  • Strengthen your connection to yourself, others, and the environment.
  • Feel supported within a small group of like-minded people.

INSTRUCTOR :: Sally Powis-Campbell is a Registered Psychologist in the Province of Alberta. Sally’s professional mindfulness training that she brings to this course includes: Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Mindful Eating-Conscious Living (ME-CL), Eat Right Now Mindful Eating Program (ERN), Mindful Performance Enhancement Awareness and Knowledge  (mPEAK) , Mindfulness for Working with Kids and Teens Certificate, and Yoga and Mindful Movement Coaching. She is passionate about working with clients of all ages in individual and group settings to share both knowledge and practices of mindfulness that can be integrated into daily life to assist in reaping all the benefits listed above!

WHEN :: Group runs Wednesdays 6 pm – 7:30 pm. Start date is January 9, 2019.

COST** :: $240 ($60/per session)

  • ** Using Insurance? A receipt with my College of Alberta Psychologist’s Registration # will be provided. Many extended health insurance plans will partially or fully cover the cost of this course.  Please check with your specific plan.

WHAT TO WEAR :: Please wear comfortable clothing. Yoga mats, bolsters, and blankets available for all.

REGISTRATION PROCESS :: Register online on Eventbrite here: https://mindfulnessyyc.eventbrite.ca. Once you have requested a free 20 minute intake call to learn more about hte group OR registered for the program, host Psychologist Sally Powis-Campbell will contact you within 72 hours to arrange a  20 minute video or audio call  to better understand your intentions and what you’re hoping to learn from and practice in this group.
